hello i got new perches and they smell kinda funky so i’m wondering if they’re moldy or not? can you let me know? thanks!

Those look really cool! If you're concerned you can always boil/bake them for a bit... but they don't look moldy to me.
 
As stated, different types of wood have different base aromas. That said, wood that sits in areas that have problem with moisture, mold, rot, or aromas generated by other products, exam: Grains, Seeds, Drying Plants, etc.. can pick-up those aromas.

Consider a hot water wash with Dawn Original dish washing soap, rise with clean,cool water and placing on a hard surface in the Bright Sunshine for drying. Turning the wood pieces to enhance drying.

Consider removing the Bark!
 
Great advice from everyone above, the only thing I would add is that if you are smelling anything that could be chemicals then I wouldn't use them. Where did you get them?
