Does anyone have a picture guide to a molt cycle?

Like the first signs of a molt all the way thru the cycle to the new feathers?

Would be very helpful, I'm wanting to flight chichi but I'm anxious to know when he will molt and/or his flight feathers will come in. So I thought a flight cycle might help.

If there isn't a guilde with pictures and run down on this topic would be great!

Me too seeing as how a dumb dumb vet just clipped my poor babies wings way to short and the wrong ones at that!!!!

I seen that. That's another reason I asked. :) I'm sure someone will chime in.

I can try to post some pictures of Buddy this afternoon, he is currently going through a molt. When they first begin a molt you will see lots of feathers on the cage bottom and around the outside of the cage. I normally see small downy feathers first, then flight feathers with small feathers. Next you will see pin feathers emerge, then new beautiful feathers as the sheaths are removed. It isnt that easy to see on the actual bird, more just evidence on the floor. Also Buddy hasn't been talking as much while he is molting, but eating up a storm, and chewing more wood than usual. You can force a molt by simulating spring conditions with 12-13 hours of full spectrum spring bulbs and keeping it warm.
