Molting?

So my baby finished her first molt a few months ago. She will be 1yrs old next April. When do you think I can expect the next molt to start?

Luna's first molt was in Nov/Dec. She just now started her 'spring molt'. Lots of pin feathers on her head. She is only about 9 months.

I think they usually go through a big molt at about 1 year old.

Roxy is correct. Young birds go through a "baby molt" around the neck and head and then about 1 year or so they have a regular molt with wing feathers falling out and growing in again. This is the time you want to watch out for blood feathers.
