More on Greycheeks

I belong to the Brotogeris Society and know a few breeders like myself and, yes, they are VERY difficult to breed in captivity. I had a wild caught breeder pair who gave me 2 females - I obtained 2 males and have been trying to breed them. Grey cheeks are related to canary wings and a great book about them is by Robby Harris (out of print though). Their personalities are unlike any birds I have known before - positively captivating! Once you've known a grey cheek, you will never forget them. I am attaching a few pics of some of mine - the screaming one is the wild caught male, Homer, who passed away last summer at the age of 21!!! Their normal life span is maybe 15.

That second picture is excellent, who is that? He/she is a light color than the others ...

The second photo is of my greycheek, Peeps. He is a bit lighter than the opthers but it may also just be the camera.

They're adorable! I remember reading about them years ago but they weren't available in my area. They're very cute!!!
