This is the story about how Sweetie waddled into my life

I had been asking for a parrot *mostly a macaw* and my mom suggested a parakeet for a starter parrot I said okay and within a week, we set out to find one, first in Sulphur Springs, no luck my grandfather was tired and decided to give up for the week. luckily, my cousin-in-law stepped in and took us to Tyler, we went to Barnes And Noble to pick out a few books
* I didn't care for it* then we went to Petsmart, I dashed STRAIGHT towards the Parakeets and at that second.......I found.......HER! she was the only one on the branch chewing herself She was my perfect match, silly, cute, and absolutely LOVABLE picked her out
*after annoying the clerk for a few moments* and we went home, we went to Sonic and got ourselves some food, got Sweetie an apple slice
*she didn't want it*
my cousin-in-law wanted to pet her *bad idea* she flapped her wings *didn't fly* and put her back inside. we got home and put her in her cage and gave her whatever she needed, and then.......... her life started and is still continuing, I love my best friend

Congratulations yes please post pics. I love budgies, they're such adorable little characters!

I had parrots for years, then before Christmas 2012, I saw (at a Petsmart) one of the most beautifully colored budgies I'd ever seen. It was my Twigs. No question, I just had to have him. Hubby said okay and went back to the store with me later and picked out one also. So we had 2 until one sadly passed this summer. They weren't a starter bird for me, but I'm glad I finally have one!
