My BFA (Fayroz) leg problem

Hi guys,

I noticed that my BFA (Fayroz) doesn't use his leg a lot, even when he sleep, he sleep like the picture attached.
is it a big problem or no

is it serious,??? should i do something?

the bird was mistreated and the previous owner cut the nail and pulled his tail too !!!

Which leg is he holding up? Is it the same leg where the toe nail was cut too short? If so, he may feel sore.

Also, many parrots sleep on one foot and their head tucked into their back.

yeah what scares me that he hold up the one with the cut nail only the whole time.

I can see in your second photo where the nail is quite short. Right foot, rear right toe, correct? The toe doesn't look swollen, but it may still hurt him, that's why he's holding it up.

How is his appetite?

Do you have any avian veterinarians you could take him to?

yes that's the one the right rear foot.
his appetite is perfect.
i tried to pet him couple of times today, i hold the the food plate for him, and he ate from the plate, so i can everything is perfect with him except the leg thing.
no i don't have a vit near me the nearest one is like 3 hours driving.

I think Wendy is right about his you being sore from the short nail clip, but taking him to the vet is your best bet. Just to rule out anything that may be threatening his foot.
