This ethereal bird is a young white-mutation Fischer's Lovebird named "Angel", nestling in his parront's hand. His/her dad is a music teacher and choir director, and loves Christmas and Handel's 'Messiah'.

This one is a bit different. It isn't a portrait, but it's bird-related. I have permission to share this little story. Thanks, Gerie.
On one of their first dates, a young couple found a blue jay feather on the sidewalk. The young lady saved it s a souvenir of their early romance. Now in their second year of marriage (that's their nuptial date in the painting) they realized that, after moving into their first house, the feather was lost. So this one will replace it, and will hang in a home office that they share.
So sweet!

As seen on page 1 of this Thread is the work that Gale completed for us, titled: Julio. I am not overstating anything when I say the actual work is so far beyond the photo seen here as to be 10x more detailed. The work has a 3D effect to it that brings life to it.

It was a least two weeks after we had positioned the piece that I was able to answer a question I had regarding the work. That day it stuck me, Julio's piece defined him as Happy. As a rescue Amazon, miss treated by what we believe was the house keeper, left behind by the kids that promised Mom and Dad they would always care for their beloved Julio. He had good reasons to never trust humans again and seeing his warm happiness is heart lifting.
