She likes to climb up my hair (it's choppy, so it's short enough she can pick it up at the top) and stand on the middle of my head. She's not aggressive towards me, so sometimes I indulge her overwhelming urge to be perched on my head. This isn't a problem, but a new behavior started. She LOVES baths, and I think one time she's perched up there, I still had slightly damp hair from the shower. Or, at least.. I think that's what started it!

She grooms my hair, then starts flapping! She rubs her face, flaps some more, almost like she's trying to bathe in my hair! This doesn't seem to be a problem of any sort, I was more wondering if it is just something that sounds like it could posibbly be a hormonal thing (That I didn't know about and should stop)? (She is a little over 2 now) Or, if it is just a cute quirk she has now.

Thank you for the time you spent readying!
Happy bird days.

My tex does this, but he is more keen to sit on the shoulder and do it, wet hair or dry, rubbing his head, wings, body, practically laying on his side... Aggressive snuggler! He doesn't display any mounting or regurgitating behaviors though, or any other signs of hormonal issues, so I think he is just really snugly. Of course if others have more scientific input...
