My daughter is turning 18 Sunday the 18th

And I'm starting to freak out. She will always be my baby girl but she's about to be a legal adult.

Yup, she will be 18, but she will always be your daughter. Even when she turns 48, she will still be your daughter.

So, enjoy the day and be happy with the wonderful young lady she has become. Congratulations are due! Make the day about her and push those thoughts out of your mind!

I don't know where the time goes. But it sure went.

I'm still 18. I mean, it was a long time ago, but once 18, always 18. It's such a shock to pass by a mirror, though, and see somebody who doesn't look remotely 18.

I learned - after I had one, that the year you turn the age of your birthday is called your Golden Birthday - so I hope hers is as shining bright as can be!

We are starting the celebration tomorrow. I plan on giving her $50 Sunday her actual birthday and taking her and only her out for lunch or dinner.

Our church may or may not surprise is with lunch or a "surprise" party Sunday.
