My DOH! moment

I went home for lunch today and was standing there talking to Phoenix we are chattering away and I look down and see how messy his cage is in one corner...i'm baffled....then I realized in my excitement of getting him yesterday I put the paper INSIDE the cage not in the drawer!!!

Oh boy my poor baby now i've got to get the paper out and he still is afraid of my hands....one of those must slap my heads moment!

But I'm ticking off the minutes I get to go spend chattering away with him hopefully he won't be too mad at me....

My guess is he thought HEY WHAT A FUN NEW HOME ALL THIS PAPER TO SHRED!. I take a roll of adding machine paper and just lay it on top of the cage with one end thru the bars on the top of the cage and they have a ball pulling it down, shredding it and punching holes in it.

LOL... he didn't realize he could play with it til I was taking it out. He saw me roll it up and one piece was left. So he swooped down and grabbed it. Of course as soon as I put my hands back in the cage he scampered away. But it was still cute

Paper is in the drawer now LOL
