yes . cuddles upto my neck pruning himself while beak grinding. just put him in cage with cover on and can still hear him grinding.

could it be the plum ? the skin from it ?

humm i do not know for my bird grind his beak a lot some times. i do not think that it anything bad but lets see if some one else chrip in.

he seems normal this morning. perhaps i was worrying over nothing.
ive only had him 3 weeks now so i dont know the things he does etc etc
maybe he was tired hence the reason for acting weird. it was a long day for him yesterday. he was out the cage for about 14 hours

Yup, don't worry. Beak grinding is a good sign that your bird is relaxed and comfortable enough to let his/her guard down to engage in self-grooming behaviors. If you're paranoid about the mafia busting through your door to chop off your little finger, you wouldn't be looking in the mirror to brush your teeth and spiking up your hair.

As stated above beak grinding is normal and good. We just got a new bird and she constantly eats too. So I am guessing that is normal too. Everytime I put our bird back she immediately goes to eat and often times throughout the day she will go back in her cage to eat.

He probably had a little bit of something stuck to his beak and was having trouble getting it off.
