Hello, I introduce you those 2 birdies :)
I let them out for most of the day and it's a lot of fun :)

oh wow those are some well trained birds. I assume it took quite a long time to train them for free flight

Also pretty envious of your view! I'd love to live within sight of mountains

Thank you, it took a month more or less, because i started while i was hand feeding them so they grew up outside and learned to fly outside. But it's been stressful to watch after them in the firts few flyes.
Yes i live in a friendly hilly village :)

Great videos! It's always amazing to me to watch freeflight trained birds. Such a beautiful sight. Far too many raptors in my area to even consider the possibility for my ekkies, though.

Man.. i'm sorry, this forum doesn't send me notifications when i receive answeres.. i didn't notice!
Sometimes I hear the call of raptors but they are rare.. hopefully. Now it's been more than 4 monthes since they are free outside, everyday for many hours of the day.

That’s amazing, however aren’t you worried about hawks?
I have way too many birds of prey in my neighborhood, there’s no way I could do that. I’ve even had bald eagles fly over my house.

I have a lot of hooded crows but they are never gonna be able to catch them.. they don't even try actually, but if they get any near my tiels fly away like crazy. Very rarely I saw some hawk but i'm not too much concerned, there are so many birds easier to catch around here, rats and squirrels.. tiels are incredibly good flyers. Usually birds of prey attack from above when the prey is eating/nesting/sleeping.. my tiels are in the cage when they do so. A little risk is always there i guess.. I don't know what my tiels would choose if they'd understand the risks, I only know what I would choose :D
In your case, if you are surrounded by raptors you have no choice of course! Hell, even bald eagles! That's National Geographic's stuff!

I would be so scared to free fly my birds outdoors. I love all the videos, and it must be so amazing to just have your bird swoop in through the window. Imagine the joy these birds get out of flying in an open space! But still, I would never do it with my birds. They are happy just flying indoors, and I wouldn't risk their lives just to have them fly in a bigger space.

That's an understandable choice and I agree that they are totally happy just flying indoor.
I do it only because the area where I live is appropriate.

Lots of parrots, most of them rescues
I free fly some of my birds, but have a lot of kestrels in my area (one has even decided to live under my roof), so anything smaller than an ekkie, I wouldn't dare to free fly.

It look soo good, I wish I had your filming skills. Most of my vids are all shaked up. Most of my vids are small recalls, that I can do, when I have to have nuts and treats also.

Trust me I have no filming skills, I just hold my phone and try to aim the birds xD
You fly your birds at home or you drive in some other location?

Here's an other one :)

You get better videos than me. I did however get this one 2 days ago, where I got the last part of the flight.

Yes I usually fly at my farm. I might drive to a flatter location if I am at a stage with a bird, where I need flat terrain without trees.
