Meet Zeus my new bird! He's 6 years old and talks up a storm. They said he's a Panama what do you think? It does not matter if he's not a Panama, I just think he's a good looking bird.

Would you happen to know how much he weighs? Pans are lighter than Yellow Crown Amazons, and that's the only other thing he possibly 'could' be. Looking at the pictures you provided, he most certainly looks like a Panama. Is his upper mandible lighter in spots than his lower mandible? YC Amazons tend to have a darker beak than Pans.

Again, beautiful bird!! I think you will absolutely love him in no time at all.

Thanks everyone. It seems to me to be the same color top and bottom. As far as weight, I don't know yet, we have a vet appointment on Tuesday morning so I'll let you know.

Well the vet said Zeus looks to be in good health! Said I got a very nice amazon. Had them do the poop and parasite test and they came back negative. He weighs 388 grams is that about what he should weigh?

388 grams, that's a larger male pan. My largest males might be 400 healthy weight.
