I just love my nephew!..Josh is 18 and loves to build things...
we have an amazing relationship and he is always willing to make sure my birds are happy, truly a wonderful young man.

HE suggested one day we should build a large aviary for all of my canaries and finches, I leapt at the idea.

it's 5' in length, 4' in height, but total height is 6'...notice the beautiful drawer underneath:D... and 2' in depth.

the room looks empty, but it's not ---across from it is a 7' aviary, and to the left of the new aviary are more cages.

so here it is, total cost was about $150.00, everything included.

the best part is I should get back everything I paid for selling all of their small cages...:D:D

Wow!!!! He did such a nice job!!!! Unfortunately the one I'll be building would cost around $600+ or so....after I bought the one in my avitar I still think I should of built the walk in one that I really wanted so we'll be building one sometime in spring....

 WOW Beth!!! He did a PHENOMENAL job on that!!!!

I LOVE it!!! I bet all the birdies are loving it, too. :D

WoW !! I Love It [he might have a business opportunity here :)]

Fantastic, Crimson. What a talented nephew you have. It's great to see youngsters taking an interest in, and showing talent at, practical skills as opposed to the totally useless ability to text on a mobile phone while doing other things (like walking down the street) or operating a gamestation joystick. Does Josh have any training or education in woodwork? He might have a great career ahead of him as a carpenter or cabinetmaker.

Looks really, really good, very professionally done :). When you're done with him, send him over here to build my outdoor summer aviary! :)

Oh, I can just imagine how pleased you are! Isn't it just the best feeling to get your birds into their proper home and see them happy and occupied with lots of space to move? Please tell your nephew I think he's a marvel - and such a sweetie for doing a beautiful job for all the little birdies. :)

I wonder how he'd go about building something similar for woodivorous parrots??? :D

I really love how it's so practical. He built it downstairs, and we had to get it upstairs!...so he and little ole me(I'm barely 5ft tall) wheeled it out of the basement thru the garage, around to the stairs, and lifted it up 9 stairs...trust me I just about died, cause it's heavy ha ha.

Looks great! Would love an aviary for my lot... :)

That is fantastic! I bet your birds are enjoying their new palace:)
