So it seems like forever ago that for some reason I totally fell out of Tillie's grace. She'd tolerate me somewhat but randomly bite the #$#@$!@#$ out of me. It was so bad that I didn't want to be near her. She'd leap from someone's shoulder to bite me. I know there are bigger parrots out there with bigger beaks but I'm telling you, it hurts bad. I was more afraid of her than Jasper biting me.

Anyway, it's been about 2 weeks and I'm back in her grace. She's the sweet thing that she was when we first got her. She runs away from her old favorite person (my 18 yr old daughter) to stay with me. She's cuddling, rubbing her face on me. I think she may be regurgitating for me. Not sure. She does this head bob thing that we thought she did when she liked the music. It doesn't look when Jasper does it. Hers is mostly up and down, not down and to the front. I could have sworn she was purring at me today. I'm just excited that she's back to her normal self however temporary this may be.

Is it normal for a GCC to change who they think is their favorite often? I don't have to be the favorite. I just don't want to be the one on her poo poo list.

I have no idea!

My latest pet theory is that they have dreams/nightmares and then wake up and don't know what happened. So suddenly they hate/love somebody/something based on the dream.

I give up, but...

CONGRATULATIONS!

Glad to hear you two are getting along.

So pleased you are not on the poo poo list and you have your girl back LOL! Sorry still sniggering.

Do you think it could be a touch of the dreaded hormones or something else. Good idea to head the regurgitating off at the beginning if you can. Lets her know you do not accept it as a mate!

Hahaha oh god I'm the same way about their bites, I try to tell myself it could be worse! You could have a big bird! But then Gimli bites down on me and I'm ready to just let him have my finger.
So happy she's over her little fuss!

I think it was hormones. The timing was right. Our weather has been wacky. It'll be high 70's into the 80's one day then rain and be cold for a few days then back to sunny and warm. It seems like it's starting to settle. I wasn't sure it was regurgitating because we could encourage her to do the head bob thing just by moving our finger in front of her. It was like she was dancing. The only reason I thought it was yesterday was because she was so darn cuddly. If that's what it is, I'll certainly put a damper on it.
