African grey
Hi guys,

I want to buy an african grey baby (self feed). My family is against it. The reason for that is my previous 2 african grey died. They think the new one will also not survive. But I have more experience now. I currently have 4 love birds, 2 conures and 2 ringnecks. Did I tell you that I adore parrots? They are my babies. I have always wanted an african grey. I don't care that it can mimic sounds or tricks. That doesn't interest me. I just want to care for her.

I am at home these days. I don't have any responsibilities like children etc. I live in an apartment. Do you think I should buy a CAG baby or not?

Although we don't know why your previous greys died, it sounds like you have enough birds in your flock to care for.....

Your family knows the circumstances of your history with companion birds and would know the best suggestion in this instance.....I am sorry, but I have to agree with your family.....

Thanks for your advice.

When you say self feed what do you mean? Would it be already weaned? I would highly advise against hand feeding a baby without a significant amount of experience. Also given the size of your existing flock I would also advise against adding to it.
