Need quick advice

Hey guys. I have an urgent question that I need advice with.
My roommate's dad came over this evening to hang out with her while I was at work, and after I got back from work, my roomie I went out to buy some dinner. At some point during that time (I was gone for about 30 minutes), her dad sprayed a TON of men's deodorant. I have a tiny one-bedroom apartment, and my Senegal was in her cage in the same room as him with the cage cover on. As soon as I got home and smelled the Axe, I wheeled her cage out onto the patio and away from the scent, and I took off the cage cover to give her some better ventilation. She is behaving normally and there doesn't appear to be anything wrong; however, I know that birds can mask medical problems and can drop dead out of the blue.
It's the middle of the night and I'm super worried. My roommate's dad is spending the night on my couch (he's leaving very early in the morning), and of course I'm not comfortable bringing my bird back inside with this smell in here. I suppose I have to leave her in her cage on the patio until after he leaves. After he leaves in the morning, I'll open the windows and doors and run the ceiling fans to ventilate the apartment as much as I can before wheeling her cage back inside. What else should I do? Do you think she'll be okay tonight? Any advice?

Watch her for labored breathing, etc and call your local avian vet for advice.

Thanks. The 24-hr vet said to look out for coughing/sneezing/wheezing and sitting on the floor of the cage. She's not doing any of those things and appears to still be doing okay.

Having the cage covered probably saved Ripley from being doused by nasty particulate matter. You reacted well by placing her outside and ventilating the room.

While birds are masters of hiding illness, respiratory distress is hard to cover. Chances are all is well, but continue to monitor closely! If the cover is washable, might be a good idea to cleanse and remove any residue!
