I'm in need of some constructive criticism. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tnl1ZvZTLvs]YouTube - Me reading the "The Problem With Friends" Monologue[/ame] This is a video of me doing a monologue. It's my first time doing a video like this, and I've only had a teeny amount of acting experience. I'll put up the one of me singing later, as soon as it uploads. Please and thank you. :)

I think you did a great job :) Its really good to do something you love and are passionate about.

As for criticism (not that I have any acting experience! but I watch a lot of movies lol) I would put more "happy" emotion when you'r recalling the good memories with the friends. It sounds slightly "monotone".

I think it takes a lot of guts to do something like this, kudos!

Not a bad start. You have fantastic volume. Are you reading that script off of paper? If so or if you had just learned it, once it becomes second nature to you, you can pay much less attention to the actual words and it will flow much better. Maybe if you could stop putting so much emphasis on certain words? I'm not sure, just try and think of ways to make it really flow, and then just keep recording and comparing. Soon you'll be able to find that balance. :) Took me a month rehearsing for my first play to really get things flowing, but once you figure it out, it's so much better!

Yeah, I was. I've almost memorized it, actually, I just felt better reading it off the paper. Thanks for the volume compliment. Before I had even started doing any sort of practice, I had people telling me to practice projecting. So when I did practice with M, we worked on that a little. Plus, for some reason, it echoes in my room. That, and I can't get the memory of M whispering, "Louder, louder." the second time I read that for her. lol

Hey guys. I'm sorry for posting twice, but if you can offer it, I'd like constructive criticism on these videos, too. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNX4FNyDIqQ]YouTube - Me singing Grace by Wes King- with accompaniment![/ame]
