hi my mother's birthday is at the end of the month.
She often goes camping and always take her eckkie with her,but she has been saying that it gets a bit chilly in the mornings.
I came across this site with hoodies for parrots and i thought it might help,but i have no idea which subspecies he is,cause apparently they all have another size.

Do you have a measurement on how big he is? Also a picture of him on a perch so we can see how long the tail is? I personally am no expert identifying the subspecies but it could help someone more experienced see.

unfortunately i don't know the measurements,he is by my mother camping right now.

Just from what I can gather from that picture and handy-dandy google images I'd be leaning toward Vosmaeri.
It seems like the SI and RS have shorter tails(?) just from what I can find. He's very pretty though.

that's a shame they appear not to have anything in his size then.

It isn't a cute little hoodie like some of the other ones, but that's all I turned up for bird fashion in Vos size =/

Another option would be to purchase a heated perch and a portable energy source, since I imagine she isn't camping in an RV (or she wouldn't be worrying about the cold..).

I think it is so sweet that your mom brings her bird camping

Believe it or not birds are pretty hardy, so a slight chill in the morning shouldn't be too much of an issue, if he isn't outside in the wind. If he's in a tent or under some sort of cover, like mentioned above a heated perch, and a nice blanket over 3 sides of the cage to reduce draft would be plenty.

I have no advice on this one as I can't imagine my Oliver wearing a hoody...or any "garment" for that matter! He'd think it was something to chew on. But I would like to say your Mom's parrot is gorgeous!!! And how fun she takes him camping with her...what a lucky little guy...
