Happy to hear Nemo is doing well. Some birds are more stubborn than others about changing their diets. It's often a matter of the bird recognizing the new items as food. Usually once a bird actually tastes something new and discovers it's good, he'll eat it every time. I wouldn't reduce the amount of his regular food too much, until you're sure he is eating his new food. Keep offering healthy foods, eat some in front of Nemo, or pretend to, so he can see how yummy it is. If he's having trouble, you may want to weigh him every day at the same time just to make sure he isn't losing too much weight. If he is refusing the pellets completely, you could offer several types until he finds one he likes. Softening the pellets in water may encourage him to try them too. It takes time and at first you throw away a lot, but it's worth it, Nemo will be much healthier.
