Right here in the Antelope Valley.

Since I am the founder of this new and exotic species I get to name it.

And I name this new Species.

Yellow Sock Amazon.

Funneee Wes. You had me all excited for a second there.

Very beautiful parrot. One tiny yellow feather ( sock) socute...

But I'm bummed you tricked me and Wrench!

Wes, does that sock get bigger as they mature? Salty's species gets yellow thighs as they mature. He has a bit more than a yellow 'sock' already.

Millie our BFA has a yellow sock on one leg as well. Must be a amazon fashion statement.

I think it's just an aberration. Luna is older and has no yellow on her legs.
But I will be keeping an eye on it. All three of my Amazons have been loosing a lot of feathers.

Thank goodness they all look normal and health (the lost feathers) or I would be concerned.

I have a great video to upload soon of the twins evening serenade.
:green1:

No socks on Amy he goes barefoot. As far as feathers go,he's been loosing some too...time of the year?

One of the great weak points of being an Amazon Snob is that one is all to open to such appearance of yet another New Amazon Species, as family Amazona is the largest group in the Parrot World. So, I will add myself to the list of those taken in by that announcement!

Within the Species Amazona a stray yellow feather or more is not uncommon.

And to think, I was moments from grabbing the bottle of rum to celebrate the News...
