NEW BABY! and tragedy but opportunity

lemme look around at work i literally have an animal ICU, but not till monday. (We build them.) I'll see if I can fin something warmer.

So the kitchen is the warmest room, fortunately right now it's very humid, like missouri (very humid) humid right now. The baby will sleep there tonight. I can't hold it all night as it would be crushed. I thought I had a heating pad or blanket but I don't. I put it under covers, (toilet paper) and put a budgie plushie sort of on it to keep it still. Not on top of it but like the head leaning on it....it's light and fine.

That's all I got, I live alone there is no rotating shifts, and it was in worse conditions before I stepped in. at first i was like 40 good-60 bad now I'm more 30bad-70 good we pull it off. Will Know in the morning. The crop is full and bird warm, Air conditioning off I"ll probably wake up real early and be able to cuddle it some more. It seemed to perk up more once it was being held.

Ok poured out some water from a water bottle and microwaved it (the bottle). Now on far side of the tupperware, (like half a fish tank sized totally can't get near it.) There is now a nice space heater THANKS!

I Build these things, not the enclosure but the electronics and electrical panel. The right side. I have a unit. If the bird makes it to Monday it's golden.

The bird is getting better, a whole lot better than it was when it was abandoned. I have a good feeling about it. I'll know more in the morning. It IS more active, and is getting more, snuggly which makes this the mission. I honestly think pulling it out of the Tupperware and just holding it enveloped in my hand for hours made it rejuvenated.

It's sleeping in the warm kitchen next to the water bottle space heater. Then when I wake up (probably) 3 amish or so I'm gonna check crop and feed and cup it in had for a while.....he/she seems to really like being closed up in a hand. I'm really out of my depth. But I'm gonna try.

You need to feed him every two to three hours round the clock.

If you can get an incubator set up ASAP and a good alarm clock you have a good chance of success. Please use a small plastic spoon melted into a funnel shape to feed him. It will prevent death from aspirating formula which is one of the biggest risks. I've hand raised three baby budges from hatching and the spoon was one of the keys to success.

OK now 72-28% good, just gave final feeding tonight and (i'm just going to use "he" here for a bit, I don't know the sex) he is actually getting active and rambunctious.... I like. He's all bundled up again. If I pull this off I wonder if his mom will recognize him once he gen join the flock weeks/months from now.

THinking spoon soon....actually I shoot it into the folds of my fingers.....then let him eat from the folds, I don't put the syringe in his mouth

Thank you donnabudgie for being around to help. I never wanted them to breed but once I got a baby I was like well (god dammit)....
