Goffins cockatoo
Greatings from utah. Our little family just recently added a new featherd friend. A 6 mo. Old goffins cockatoo. Who is just a sweet heart. We have had her for about a month now, and she's settling into our flock very nicely. We are a family of 3, myself, husband, and 8 yr old daughter..... oh and our fur baby moo who is a 5lb poodle. I was very excited to come across this community!! And it has already answered a few questions I had, and I did not even have to ask lol. Looking forward to having a knowledgeable place to come to when I have questions, or need a suggestions.

Congrats! Will be glad to see some pictures:-)

Welcome! Goffins are great birds, and like all white toos can be demanding at times :)

You'll appreciate having us when (Name?) starts maturing :D That's always a exciting time in a parrots life.

Thanks again guys! We have decided to name her two.... seeing as we have added a 2 yr old to our family, and to help my daughter remember thats her permenat state of mind and should be treated and talked to as such. We have seen her be quite demanding already and I have to remind everyone not to come at her beck and call so we dont end up with a brat..... but its proving very hard not to spoil her. She has learned bed time is bed time ( im known as the bed time warden around here lol) I work grave yard weekends and my husband works mon-thursday so 90% of the time we are home, or someone is always around. Helping her be independent is something were working on and any advise would be much appreciated because even after a good play session she dosent like to be left and will jump down of her cage to come Velcro her self back to whoever passes by, and has already broke a few tail feathers. I would love to leave her out on her play gym, but for her safety now she gets put back in the cage . Thanks again eveyone!
