After months (well, an exaggeration of 2 months) I finally got the parakeets a new flight cage! I was originally gonna purchase the cage Ravensgryf/Julie has on Amazon but found no luck finding a seller that can ship here. So I did go with birdcages4less and found it...for 550 with the shipping, therefor, ending up with the smaller Timbertown cage for 430 ish. I mean it's 4 inches shorter, but I refused to pay 100 extra dollars for that. The main thing is that all the birds are getting a comfortable and large area

But after waiting a WHOLE, whopping, EIGHT days :D:D:D!! it finally came in. Now I'm just needing to wait till tuesday until my friend can drop it off and I can start building it. I'm so so so so so excited, I'm going to have to stock up on so many toys in the meantime!

I'll 10000% add in pictures once it gets here and after the setup, did I mention I'm so excited!?

Yaaayyy, budgie party!! They are going to be so happy in their new space. Can't wait to see the great new cage and set up!

How exciting! I'm glad you were able to go through birdcages4less.com. That's actually where I got mine from. Wow, that adds a ton of additional expense shipping to Hawaii! I'm glad you got the cage you wanted though. It will be a nice one for the flock.

I can't wait to see pics of the entire set up, with everyone enjoying it :D!

YAY! Your budgies are going to be so thrilled with their new digs:) Looking forward to those pics.

Birdcages4less ships here? Every cage I find online and want can't be shipped here:( Can't wait to see the photos of the new cage!

Ooo exciting! Love cage photos!

shipping is crazy!

Can't wait to see the cage all set up. :)

Thank you so much for the reccomendation! I went there immediately after you told me (and im so sorry, I just realized that I didn't reply to your last response :54::54::54:)

And just wondering, how long did it take to set up your cage? I know its completely different cages, but a time frame would be beyond good for me (im going to be packing close to 4 different things I want to do in a day while I'm off).

I was so surprised too! I was hoping Amazon would've shipped --- the cage would be 210 dollars, but since I found a shipper, I just had to go with it.

shipping is crazy!

You can say that again!

It's like trying to buy a bird toy (for example) for 3.99 and having the shipping 15 dollars, which almost happened with me!

How exciting. Eagerly awaiting pictures of the new cage and how the "residents" respond:D

When I received my cage from birdcages4less, they emailed me a pdf of instructions and pictures. It was such a nice touch that they do that. Did they give you one? I've put together many cages before, but this one was a bit trickier since it has the additional rack/stand that it sits on and bolts to, but it went smoothly. I don't remember how long it took me, I was watching tv at the same time, and I was in no hurry lol. It did have more pieces to it than a single cage though. That's the one you have, right? The Timbertown I think it was called? Double flight cage?

Mink and Twigs love it. I pull out the divider during the day, but they sleep in their own sides at night. The divider doesn't slide in real smoothly, and I can't latch the divider in without squeezing together both sides of the cage, since it's not precision made. Also, some of the panels were slightly bent, BUT what do you expect... overall, I do think it's pretty decent for the price, and I'd buy from them again. This is the one I have for the budgies but in black :). http://birdcages4less.com/page/B/PROD/PA5699 I didn't use the platforms that came with it, and I used my own feed dishes.

Right now, my friend is going home to check. But yeah, I have the timbertown....with A LOT of missing pieces. I only have 4 panels --- I think I'm supposed to have 8 or 9 considering the panel? and I'm missing the ladders, feed dishes, and the "layers"/sun perch thing.

But I noticed that 2 of the bars are slightly bent which is no big deal, considering how far it had to travel.

That's the exact same cage! I'm expecting to be done in 3-5 hours but I'm gonna start on it on tuesday still. Luckily enough, I plan on not using the divider, so I won't have to struggle with that but thats a great heads up (for other people wanting the similar cage too :D) I'm so glad to hear how much they love the cage! It gives me really good hope that they'll like it too, you know, once I get every piece.

Oh no, missing pieces :(. I hate that when you open a box and you don't have everything that's supposed to be in there. I hope you get all the pieces asap. I don't think that's a reflection on birdcages4less, as it was not packed right from the manufacturer.

Without the divider, there is a pretty good size gap. It's not big enough that they can squeeze out of (less than an inch), and looks too big to get their head caught. You'll have to see it when it's all done. If you're not comfortable with that, you can just fill the space with something, since you plan on never using the divider.

I finally got all the pieces! It just took two boxes that arrived at separate times, and about the instructions, my friend got in the first email and just didn't know what it was...which made me pretty furious because I had to redo the base over 3 times!!!!

I think I'm gonna make a new thread for the last and FINAL update because im gonna add in quite a bunch of pictures and I don't want to make people go through pages to find the pictures lol :D

Great! I'm so glad you got it all finally :). Strange that the boxes arrived on different days. I can't wait to see the new thread with pictures!
