Hello all,

First of all, thank you for reading and all advice / input / help, greatly Appreciated it.

2 days ago we got Green Cheek Conure (Yellow Sided).

Our only concern so far is the wings.
(I will attach the images, so, you get a better idea).

It appears that one wing is a bit higher compared to other wing.
Also, one wing is not staying flat on the body like other wing.
(I tried to take the best pictures i could to show this, and ask for opinions / etc) As i would really love to know if this is normal / or we should talk to breeder about this.

Thank you very much for your time.

P.s.
If needed, we can take pictures from other sides as well, closer, etc.

Hello and welcome! Congratulations, what a little cutie! Does your conure hold the wing down constantly or occasionally? Did the breeder clip the wings? If so, the little guy could be feeling discomfort from the clip. Either way, I would definitely talk to the breeder, I would also make an appointment with an avian vet for a thorough exam. Best of luck, I hope it's nothing too serious.

Hello,

Thank you :)

He is holding the wing occasionally, i've seen him multiple times fluttering his wings (fast / both wings) in the cage, also, when he is out, he tries to fly a bit.

His wings were clipped on the day we took him home, so, yep, that was done just few days ago.

Also, when we cuddle/pet him, and touch both wings, etc. he doesn't react to it at all, everything appears to be just normal, i would say.

I will try to take some better pictures tomorrow, from different angles, just so, you guys can see better (he is sleeping now :p ).

Big thanks!

Welcome! I know when our fids were young, they were a bit sloppy with their feathers and wings.

Thank you :) and thank you for responding.

So, you think this is normal and will get better ? I believe this baby / conure is about 9-10 weeks old (probably in 9th).

Couple more pictures, maybe this will get better idea.

Thanks again

What a sweet baby! Your best bet is to have him checked by an avian vet, just to be on the safe side, but it looks normal to me:) Congratulations on your new addition to your family!

Thank you very much! We love him :)

It means a lot to me and my family that you guys did not ignore this thread / question, and we appreciate this very much.

I am currently doing a re-search for vet and contacting them etc.

Once again, thank you ALL for your help.

You are very welcome, we are glad you're here! Please keep us updated with pics of your new baby and stories, we love that:)

If you want to post your genera*l location, we could probably help you find a good avian vet in your area, though I think we all understand if you don't want to put that information online.

*By general I mean things like "Southern California", "Florida Panhandle", "Eastern North Dakota" and very general descriptions along those lines.

Thanks for the offer, appreciated :)

I managed to find few here, one of them responded to my e-mail i sent:
Their fee is:
" A standard exam fee is $77 plus tax. This is for a physical examination, where we would examine all of the body. We listen to the heart, and air sacs, check the mouth, cloaca, ears nostrils and abdomen " ( This is Canadian $ + 13% tax )

Does this sound properly priced, or i should look more?

Tnx! :)
