New GCC doesn't seem to like me :(

Never mind, issue has been resolved. I was just worried because my new GCC, Chubby, seemed to dislike me, but I'm glad to hear that its probably just temporary because of the new environment and people, etc. I already love him so much. Nobody will ever replace my little Furbie, but I love Chubby, and I hope I can give him a happy life. <3

I would give it time..even though they are related their personalities can be completely different...I would give it time, he should come around.. I would find something he really loves, and use it as a training treat.

How long have you had him? It can take a year for him to fully trust you. As for the mood swings, the babies I raised since 10 days old are very unpredictable too. Today the middle child is having an evil day, he is attacking everybody but he calms down the next day. Just take it slow everything doesn't happen all at once, you cant expect him to bond with you right off the bat.

Thank you guys, I just needed to know if this behavior was normal of new birds or if he just disliked me.

I've only had him for one day, but my only experience with a new bird prior to this one was Furbie who was kind of an exception. And I do know they won't be the same, I was just worried that my baby would end up hating me. But I'm glad to know its probably just a phase. Thanks again!
