Hi everyone, I'm new here, I've been reading the forum for a few days but just joined lastnight. I'm from pa and we just adopted a 2.5 year old female alexandrine named ziggy on sunday. I have worked with birds a lot in the past, I was a pet care spe******t in two different shops for about 3-4 years, and I used to do educational shows with reptiles and birds. In the past I have had a goffin cocakatoo, a citron cockatoo, 3 'tiels and a budgie. This is our first alexandrine and our only bird now, she's been doing really well since we got her, her previous owner kept her fully flighted and didn't hold her, luckily she isn't aggressive at all, just a bit shy but we're working on that 
. I also have to add that she is the quietest bird I have ever had or known, when we went to meet her she screamed for about the first hour we were there, but since bringing her home she hasn't made a single noise and I have been with her 24/7 since then.
