Hello Ladies and gentlemen,

I'm new to the forum, and have just bought a baby Quaker. Not sure how old he is tbh, he looks like 2-3 weeks old and we are hand rearing him.

I bred cockatiels and love birds about 15 years ago, but never hand reared the birds. So it's a new journey for my son and myself. We might be getting a Rosella chick very shortly.

TIA

Thank you for the welcome. I was hesitant to buy an unweaned baby, but it seems it's a normal practice unfortunately.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Welcome to you and your young Quaker. Having breeding experience gives some advantage, but please read the posted link above reference buying unweaned babies. You'll want every advantage possible to ensure a good outcome.
