Hi there!

I have a confession to make...My name is Monique and I love birds! (big surprise). I currently have one female sun conure and one rescued adult male bare eyed (Corella) cockatoo and I occasionally foster birds from a parrot rescue centre. I spend a lot of my time at the parrot rescue facility and spend most of it by training with the birds available for adoption and assits with school venues and fund raisers and occasionally get my but kicked by two female umbrella cockatoos (it can be terrifying!). I strongly believe in basic training and trick training and I have been fortunate enough to learn from the best. I look forward to seeing and hearing more from all you amazing bird lovers out there, hope you enjoy my posts (which I want to keep as positive as possible).

Welcome! My mother owns a bare eyed girl! And I'm adopting a bare eyed boy from A Helping Wing in New Jersey in the next few weeks!

I recently adopted a Sun Conure through distant family and I have no history on the bird other than his owner had grey hair like mine. We hit it off right from the start because we are best buddies, and If I'm not working or sleeping, he is probably on my shoulder or in my shirt, my bird shirt now. His name Is Erik and I'm guessing he is about a year old. He was too young to fly when I first got him about four months ago but he flies just fine now. I am learning new thing all the time on groups and forums so thanks for having me.

Welcome! Excellent choice of feathered kids, please post pics, we all love to see photos of everyone's babies. Riddick07 is my daughter and shsred about our bare eyeds. And my second fav in the house is her sun who has been sleeping in my swestshirt
