Stumbled accross the site looking for help with my conure.
Ive got a cinnamon conure, unsure of sex and have owned from a baby and is about three years old now. He has been great fun up until the last six months or so where his temperament has changed for the worse and i cant seem to get him to respond to my training.
He constantly screeches and will not come to me anymore and if he does come to me all he does is sink his beak in (has drawn blood a few times).
I have tried to clicker training but he starts off ok and then gets vicouis after a few minutes and canoot go no further with him.
he seems happy in himself and is nnot pulling feathers or nothing but i cant handle the noise no more and i want to interact with him again rather than having him as a caged bird and nothing else.
If anyone can give me some pointers or help it would be much appreciated
