Hi everyone!

Feel free to address me as suncrestt. I’m a female currently attending high school in the USA. As y’all would’ve guessed by now, I am an avid lover of psittacines and everything to do with them!

I have (some) experience with parrots as I took care of my teacher’s green cheek conure and have fond memories of my grandparents’ old umbrella cockatoo growing up.

Due to my plans for college and such, my parents and I feel that getting a bird right now is not the best option given our situation. One day though, one day.

For the present at least, I volunteer at the local bird shop near my grandparents’ place every time I go up to visit.

My mindset is basically well if I can’t have a parrot of my own, I might as well spend as much time as possible with the opportunities I have available to me right now!

Welcome and be welcomed. Wow a smart, thoughtful teenager? Good on you for understanding the need for parrots to have a relatively stable home life. Come and hang here, there are lots of very knowledgeable people, and some are even funny. Not many though. Certainly not me. Neither knowledgeable nor funny. Cheap. That's it. I'm cheap.
