Umbrella Cockatoo
Well, I think I have done it now. The wife and I rescued a 18 yr old Umbrella this past weekend. Before I ask any questions, I am going to make sure it’s not been asked before. I will say this, they definitely have one heck of an attitude!

Welcome to the forum, thank you for rescue!
Ask away.

Welcome aboard, kudos for rescuing a beautiful U2! Large cockatoos have outsized personalities and the good news is you are in the honeymoon stage!

Plenty of experienced U2 servants here to share advice.

Welcome and be welcomed.

Welcome to Parrotforum!!!

Well, you have happened upon a wonderful Forum that has several members with U2 and near the full cross-section of other species of Parrots!

HEE HEE!! You can see my guy on my shoulder in my picture. That's Francis. He's 27 (and a half). Loud as he wants to be! He was given to me by a friend, who'd had him since almost back to hatch day. They thought he was a female, and so spent the first 25 years of his life as a female named "Fancy" (hence my id). I joined this forum when I still thought HE was a SHE, but found out soon after. Right now I'm wrestling with a proper diet for him. You'll find a wealth of knowledge and experience here. WELCOME!!!
