New Mother to Baby Lilac Crowned

Hello I am BirdyMomma. I am a first time bird parent, to a recently (almost) weaned Lilac Crowned. I have had him (don't really know sex) for a week, and I am in love. I simply love this bird. I hate leaving him each morning, and cannot wait to get home from work to see him.
I have not named him yet. I feel that seeing as how he will be with me for the rest of my life, I owe it to him to choose the perfect name. I will post a photo shortly.
I am so happy to have found a forum with so many knowledgeable and experienced bird owners. I want to provide my bird with the happiest life possible, so I'm sure I will be referring to your posts and requesting advice quite often.

How lucky you have a lilac crowned amazon! They are stunning! I really wanted a lilac crowned amazon when I was in high school, they are amazing.

Welcome to the forum! I have a huge soft spot for the lilac crowns! My mom had the coolest little dude zon who was an lca! I recently got to meet a baby lca at a bird shop, and this gal was the cuttteessssttt! If I wasn't planning for my hy, I would definitely consider a lilac...they are amazing! Congrats on your new fid baby, and glad to have you on the forum! I look forward to many pic filled posts!
