2 Green Cheek Conures
In the past we have had numerous cockatiels and a Quaker parrot. The Quaker hated me, only liked my daughter. The cockatiels were a delight!
Recently, I took in 2 green cheek conures. Don't know their history. Was told they are both male ages about 3 & 5. One of them is slightly larger than the other. Have been Googling and trying to learn about these guys.
They appear healthy, no feather plucking. The beaks and eyes are clear and clean. Eating drinking and moving around well. Wings are clipped. They could use their nails trimmed and their beaks are pretty sharp!!
The have lots of wood, cuttlebone and toys.
I open their cage as much as possible and try to handle them. They bite hard enough to make me bleed!
What advice can you give me to do good by them? They have been here about 2 weeks now.
Thanks:gcc:

Welcome to you and your crew! Green cheeks are wonderful little birds. There are a number of really good threads on how to deal with biting if you do a quick search. Feel free to ask questions - lots of us here have conure companions :). Hope you’ll share some pictures - do they have names? There’s also a really good thread on bonding and building trust http://www.parrotforums.com/general-parrot-information/49144-tips-bonding-building-trust.html which may help with the biting as well.

Greetings, and welcome. I like your style... curious, energetic, and open-minded. I'm happy you found us.
