Hello there,
My name is Randy, and I am the proud new dad of a yellow-sided gcc
. His name is Boswell. I've had Bos for about a week, and have been having fun working with him. Between my wife and I we have 6 other pets. We have a boxer and a pitbull, two rats, and two guinea pigs. Only the pitbull is mine, and after months of research I decided to pull the trigger on Boswell. He is 6 months old, and incredibly affectionate. The first night home he was sleeping in my lap, and calling for me if I left the room.
I am a school psychologist, and I have quite a bit of experience with positive behavior training. I also got a lot of clicker training experience with my pitbull Bullet. Being a rescue pit, we went through a lot of hard work to get him where he is today: an AKC Good Canine Citizen and a certified rescue dog. I decided to expand my experience to the bird world, and I am having a blast so far. It really is interesting to see some of the variations in thinking between species. Boswell is quickly becoming a great addition to our family. I am excited to join this community with people that have a lot more experience with birds than I do. Hopefully, it will become a great resource for information.
