New parrot owner

Hi folks

I need some help. I adopted a parrot, at least I think it's a parrot. Not sure what kind of parrot it is but I need some help in identifying it. I would like to put a photo in but, I'm not sure how to do that. Can someone help me please??

He's extremely friendly and doesn't seem to want to stay in his cage. All he wants to do is sit on my shoulder and craw inside my shirt. I read that birds need to be acclimated to their new environment and should be left alone however, he seems more content being with humans. Am I wrong for not keeping him in his cage?

Is that a sun conure? He is really cute! If he wants out of the cage and wants interaction I say let him. You read about so many people with the opposite problem. You're lucky!

I have browsed through this site, which I probably should have done earlier, and I discovered that he's a Conure. But what kind?
