New parrot owner

Hello parrot friends!

I have been bitten by the parrot bug! I can't believe how much I love and adore my new parrot already! I adopted her just two months ago and want another parrot for my flock.

I love reading and learning from other parrot owners. I am excited to find this forum. I adopted a sweet pineapple green checked conure. It has been a great experience.

Is it crazy to be thinking about another bird so soon? No one quite understands. I thought maybe I would be understood here.

Welcome to you! Remember getting a second bird, there is always a risk! It could be the most fantastic thing for all three of you or become a living nightmare!

Do you desire a second bird for yourself or hope it will bond with your present GCC? Nothing wrong with wanting multiple birds as long as you understand the dynamic relationship with multiple parrots. A new bird may or may not get along with your current bird. It may also change the nature of the relationship you currently enjoy. It is also possible everything will go very well. Most important to clearly understand your motivations and goals!
