New play stand

My fiancé and I made this tonight! Wood from an apple tree, vet wrap and toys! Cost $23!!! Richard just sits on the branch closest to my chair and screams at me.... Hope he learns to like it.... Anything I can do to help him like it? I am going to add a couple treat cups and a few more toys tomorrow, anything else I can do?

It's really cute! How about more horizontal branches? Richard, lol very cute name for a bird!

Also how about bells, more toys, plastic chain strung through it, treat cup attached somehow...

Thank you for the suggestions! I am going to add more toys and some more horizontal branches, he's been in it about 15 mins today and been quiet but not moved much lol

I should mention he has spent most of the day on his new stand, preening and snacking and even sleeping

A rope boing is definitely a great addition! You could also hang a basket with toys in it or even just something like fleece to snuggle in if he likes to take naps when out.

I love this idea though I think I'm too lazy to find and lash together my own stand:54:

it was super easy, we had a tree in the back that needed some triming anyway, and just used L brackets to secure to the base, then vet wrap to put branches together. took about 25 mins, and cost $23.

he isn't a fan of rope perches yet, I don't think he has ever seen one, but I am going to get the boing and hope he uses it.

With the boing I usually have a toy hanging from the top so the boing curls around it and the toy hangs through the middle (if that makes sense?)- maybe adding a toy to the boing like that will entice him
