Parrots
Senegal
Hey, I am new to this forum. I am not really sure how everything works on here but I’ll give it my best shot. I have recently decided on getting a Senegal. He is currently being Handfed and will be ready for me in May. I have been planning every aspect I could imagine for bringing this bird home. I have gotten all new cookware, cage, toys, perches, traveling cage, and treats. I have also gone extensive lengths parrot-proofing everything in the house, as well as getting special cleaning supplies. I am just curious if anyone who has more experience could tell me if i am forgetting anything or if anyone had any tips for me that I can use starting this new journey. Any useful advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

bird disinfectant if you haven't go any yet, I use the pre-diluted F10 formula. Essentially a day or 2 before they arrive home have a sprits down of the cage (fully set up) and let it dry. then once a month when doing a clean give the cage a once over with the disinfectant just to make sure any nasties aren't lurking around
