Back in June I ordered a custom made stainless steel cage from Expandable Habitats for my Cape parrot who had started to strip the finish off her powder coated cage. The cage arrived a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it.

Here's a link to a blog post I wrote when I first set up the cage - Just Poifect!: Léa's new cage is all set up!

And here are some pictures I took back then - I have since added a few toy and a perch or two.

Much easier to clean than my other powder coated cages!

That's the beautiful cage! I'm jealous. I'll bet it's easier to scrape poop off. :p

Not too sure about that wall color LOL I love colors on walls and have not one white wall in my house... but that color. Is it just the picture making it look like that? Is it yellow? Green? Yellow-Green?

Hey Na, very nice cage. Do you know what gauge wire ? Think it's good for a zon? Do you have a link? We have two very large SS macaw cages we use and love them. They don't make them anymore but price was about 1,500$, years ago.

Very cool! I'll have to check them out. I'm looking for new cages and I would love stainless steel, but they're so expensive, ack!

hehe...it's green. To be honest, the picture doesn't quite do it justice because of the lighting I used to light everything up. It's actually a slightly darker green and doesn't look quite as yellow in real life :)

The bars are 3/16". Here's a link - I have what they call the "Small" cage - aka, cages that don't quite go entirely to the ground.

They are, however I chose to see it as a great investment. It's really what I feel is safer out there and since Léa started to strip the finish off her powder coated cage, it was really the best option for me.

OK, i'll take a 36485L if someone wants to know what i want for Christmas.
