New to board...

...with a 3 year old Hahns Macaw. My wife and I thought long and hard and decided to buy this bird. The pet store owner said he/she is a rescue. They threw in food, Sunshine's favorite toy and other accessories. We got a very good price. I will post pictures later on tonight and I am gaining a lot of knowledge reading through your tips etc...

OK, some pix of the new edition to the family, we decided on the name Sunshine with Sunny for short.

First pix is when he stole our heart at the pet shop.

This shot is his first night at home.

And the last one!!

The bird has adjusted well to our new home, the pet store owner said he came to his shop as a rescue about a month ago, the owner gave us a good deal, Sunny, food, toys and other gadgets for well under what the bird goes for on the market.

We have a play stand ordered and should be here next week, he has already taken a shower, and already comfortable walking around the furniture and all over us, finding little cubby holes to play in, of course all supervised, we have two cats that are starting to adjust.

The pet store owner says Sunny is about three years old, can anyone confirm this by looking at the little fellow?
