Blue and Gold Macaw
Hello I am Jayme, I have a Blue and Gold Macaw his name is Indigo, I also call him Indy. The Conures name is Rambo he is so not a Rambo. I am sort of well I have inherited them. Long story short my dad's girlfriend rescued birds she had at one time close to 100, different birds, she passed away about 8 years ago. Before she passed away she started resuming and we lost some to age. We kept Indy, I had 2 Cockatoos one of them we had to rehome he was afraid of people and this is probably going to make eyes roll but, I have away with birds. I usually can make friends and and have them on my arm, finger, it's like they trust me anyways, I took him home with me had him for a few months, he was starting to respond to me. We went out for my birthday, my ex had just finished the trim work on the windows and the floor, I had just bought new living room outfit, new end tables, everything. Some how Max got out if his cage while we were gone and destroyed the picture window trim, a foot stool, and an endtable. Max had to go the day that the bird man came and got him that danged bird came out on my arm, I felt awful having to give him away. Sassy was also a Cokatoo but he was just all about being close he would sleep with me or one of the kids, would get under the blankets and cuddle up in the back of a bent knee, never pooped once in our beds. Indigo was my dad's girlfriend that past away so he kept him and Rambo but he doesn't mean to be but they wouldn't do anything but sit in their cages. So I have them. Indy is a blast though he loves to snuggle my neck, I think he is trying to feed me sometimes he gently will run his beak over my hands and my arm and he acts like he is trying to regurgitate.
Sorry I get wordy sometimes. Thank you for letting me join the parrot forum.

Welcome! I do caution against letting birds sleep with you in the bed as it can lead to several problems.
