Hi Dave and welcome to the forum. :) So glad you joined.

Many congrats on your new family member. What's his name? 13 weeks? AAAWWW..so still a baby! Is he/she completely weaned?

If you have some pictures, we'd all love to see them. ;)

There are TONS of African Grey lovers/owners/guardians/enthusiats on here, and I'm sure they'll chime in about foods and harness training.

Again, welcome!!

Hi Daveo,
Congrats on your new baby! Is it a boy or a girl, name? I use Intune pellets by Higgins. I like them because they use only fruits and veggies for the color in the pellets. I also feed my girl Dorothy, homemade birdie bread, fresh veggies & fruit and healthy foods that we might be eating. Please look up all foods that are dangerous in case you have forgotten since last having a grey. I also feed her some seed mix as a treat as well as some nuts. As far as harness training you have missed a good window of time when your grey was younger that would have made harness training a bit easier. You will just have to take it slow. Greys don't particularily take well to harness training but if you want to take him/her outside with you and you are not clipping the wings it is a necessity. Just take it slow, the aviator harness is great and comes with a great cd. This is the one I'm training my baby galah on. As far as vitamins I don't use them, I just make sure that she gets a good mix of food. However, I don't think it's a bad idea. Good luck with your new baby, now we love pictures around here!
