African grey
Hi guys, i am new here and thought i would introduce myself, i am a 40 year old mother of 4, 2 children fled the nest and have given me beautiful grandbabies, i have 2 teenagers at home , i have 2 lovely dogs and about to get my first african grey, i have wanted one of these since i was a child when my gran used to own them, but knowing the big commitment they are with their life span etc, i have waited till now as i am now working from home as a photographer my studio is here in my home, i have loads of time free to teach and train the parrot , i believe a parrot is for life not just an until you have a baby , or just until you get bored hense the years of waiting until the time was right, we are bringing home our baby next week, we have been visiting him often and he is just to die for :) i have done years of reading up about this birds, and now the time is coming i am thinking YIKES have i remembered it all, so thought right the best way to ensure we start of on the right foot is here with like minded people, i have had birds over the years, budgies, cockatiels, ringnecks, but an african grey is altogether different, i hope i get a warm welcome and chose the right group for friendly fun and friendly advice and look forward to getting to know you all . x

Loads of great "parronts" here, and tons of info in the older threads. Hope to see you around on the forum. Don't forget the pics !!
