Hello,

I'm the proud owner of a baby CAG that is about 8 weeks old. "she" is still at the shop till she's weaned. I'm calling her she till the DNA testing gets done. Her name is Neytiri. I visit as often as I can. On Saturday I was able to get her to play (attack) a little ball with a bell in it.

Hubby's not too crazy about getting the bird but I'm hoping that he will come around when she looks more like a bird than a little dinosaur. Lol.

I will post some pics when I figure out how to from my iPad. Lol.

Sassy,
I just got a GCC a couple of weeks ago and my hubby wasn't too thrilled either.
But he's the first one at her cage in the morning making sure she has her vegetables,
he's the one to tell ME how to play with her, he's the one who sits by her now,
and he's the one who makes sure he covers her before he goes to bed. LOL
I keep telling him that I thought it was my bird. He laughs and walks away. :)
So if your hubby is like mine, give it time. He will either be the first one there, or
he will accept the bird. :)

Eva hatched March 4th and I am having a heck of a time getting her to play with me.
She will only take seeds from me and play with a chop stick. She knows if she puts her
beak on it she gets a sufflower seed. LOL

Welcome to the forum, you're not too far from us :)

Welcome. 8 weeks is very young for a bird. Has she fledged yet? What is she eating?

Love greys any shape, age or sex.

She doesn't live at home yet. She hasn't fledged yet as her feathers are still growing in. She is still on formula too.

She was sent from a breeder in TN to the shop in PA. I get to visit whenever I want. I try to get there several times a week.

As for hubby he does make jokes about the bird so I think he's coming around a little. I think once she's home and he sees the funny things she does he will feel different. Wouldn't it be a kicker if he's chosen as the favored person. Lol

As for playing I would hold the ball close to my mouth and shake my head. Neytiri would then lunge at it when it was in front of her and try and grab it with her beak. When she'd get it shed toss it to the side. I was sooooo proud of her.

Also thanks for the welcome.
