Hey guys,
Let me just start off by saying I really, really love this forum and all of your amazing feathered friends. You guys really have awesome birds.
So fellas, I recently came across a baby Sun Conure no more than 3 months old. My buddy, Mango, is starting to fit nicely into our home and he is adjusting more and more each days. I've had Mango for about 3-4 weeks now, but I was hoping if anyone could give me some tips on how I can make him more social. Currently, he really dislikes hands and I've slowly been trying to pet him especially when he's hungry and I have food in my hands or near me. So far, I manage to scratch his head a little bit, but only when I have him still eating. Other than that, he won't get any where near my hand without food or a treat (grapes and mangoes have been working well). Any other ways I can get him to become less afraid of hands or people in general? Any pointers will be highly appreciated, thanks guys.
