YS Green Amazon
Hi Im new here, im in UK. I have a yellow shouldered Amazon:green: , he is only 10 months old and bought from someone who hadnt realised how much attention they need.
Having previously owned an African Grey and still do but prefers ex husband so lives with him I had a good idea what to expect and am ecstatic to discover although owning him a fortnight he loves me already, the cage he came with is way too small, more of a luxury budgie cage so Im looking for a new one suitable for him to grow into if anyone would like to point me in the right direction as I am sick of looking at the moment. So many bad reviews.

Welcomed to the forum!!! Congratulations on your new baby!!! Woot woot!

Welcome to you and your amazon, thanks for joining!

Unless you have local pet supply shops, best bet is online. Amazon sells a wide variety of cages with consumer reviews and detailed images. You many have a UK alternative as well.

Many if not most parrot cages are constructed in China. Essential to source one powder coated with strong bars spaced appropriately to avoid a stuck head. Personal preference dictates whether you choose a dome shaped top or flat surface with a playpen.

Welcome! You hit the jackpot! This is a very Amazon-rich bunch of forums!

And it sounds like your bird hit the jackpot with you!

Welcome welcome! I love Amazons. :D

Don't get too discouraged about the cages... I sympathize, I know it's hard to find the right one. I've got a King's Cage for my African Grey and a Prevue Hendrix (Park Plaza) for my Green Cheek Conure. I'm very happy with the quality of both. I've seen plenty of A&E cages and they're pretty good. I think the King's cages are the very best I've seen, and my Prevue is wonderful too, some of the lower end Prevue cages aren't the greatest though. Anyway, that's about all I can offer in the way of advice/opinion. Good luck anyway. :)
