Peetry (patagaonian conure), Mickey (african grey), Gonzo (alexandrian).Breeder pairs: Shadow and Coco (Mickey's parents), Quincy and Mate (alexes), pair of sennies, pair of crimson bellied conures.
Lately my baby crimson bellied is going crazy nipping and pinching while flapping around, I am actually bleeding on my hand. Every time I let it out of it's cage it is like this ... It is like a feverish hyperactive thing then it calms down and i can pet it or cuddle, then it 'attacks' again. Even after it's been hand fed.
Is this just because it is starting to wean or would this be a species trait? I hope this is just a phase ...:31:

It is just because he is a baby, my 13 week old gcc's do the same thing except mine are learning not to do it. You have to teach them it isn't ok to do this, don't respond by making a noise when he does it just say no biting and calmly set him back in his cage for a few minutes. He will soon learn that it isn't ok to do.
