Nitro is ready for a home.

I hope i don't get in trouble for posting this here, like this. Nitro is a male Yellow nape, (extra large) I got him as part of a "proven,bonded" pair, that was a lie. he's an old burned out breeder bird. he has fallen in love with me. i think he'd like most people, but he is very opinionated. he loves the girls but they don't love him. I've tried pairing him with many hens and it doesn't work. So i moved him into the house and tried to befriend him. he's VERY food oriented, which helps. he doesn't have a mean bone in his body But he nips and doesn't know realize that he's biting a chunck out of you. I rarely get bit any more because i have "learned" him. he wants so bad to have a relationship but doesn't know how to handle it. For sure he's a man"s bird. he needs a strong influence. I call him Nitro because i never know when he was going to "blow up". He's all cuddles and sweetness and then "nip" ,,,, usually followed by " I LOVE YOU". He doesn't nip out of aggression, he just gets so excited!!I've learn him now and it's all because he doesn't know how to act with a close bond. Something I'm sure he could learn . The issue being ,,he's becoming very attached to me and i need to find him a home. I can make vids, post pics, tell you anything you want to know and no BS. I'm not going to sugar coat things and tell you he's something he's not. he has a giant heart of gold and needs somebody.He's a big boy, between 800 to 700 grams.HE'S QUIET, never calls loudly. I would love to talk to folks about him if your interested. Of course, being a long time, active member of the forum is a must. I don't take my "babies" lightly. BTW he does fine open caged with lots of other pet zons close by, he likes a flock.

I don't know that he doesn't like women. However he took to me ,more so than my wife. Like i said ,he doesn't have a mean bone in his body.

Sounds kind of like me, when I liked them they didn't like me, but when they liked me, I didn't like them.So when I found my wife, I hung onto her like grim death

I adore napes, and so does my red lored amazon we fostered a male nape that was her buddy bird for about two years... BUT right now I need another bird like I need a hole in my head!

Hi Jora, I would suggest you remove your email and your private information (live alone, age, etc) from this page because it is google searchable and you are in fact telling the world - to give that kind of information you might consider sending it in a private message, rather than 'global'. I'm not telling you what to do mind you, I'm just pointing out that you have other options for giving other members more private information about yourself.
