Hello,

Lily is fluctuationg at 380g in the morning and 400g at night.. I've been told that she is underweight but my g/f went to the vet and 2 vets said she was fine.. She already is on Harrison's high potency and I am going to switch over to lifetime at 7 months old. I am feeding her warm vedgies twice a day at noon and around 6:00 pm. I am not feeding her human food yet..

edit : Lily is 12 inches which is kind of small for a DYH... or is she going to get a bit bigger ? Her brother that was born 2 weeks before her was 467g when I went to get Lily and lily at 403..

Thanks

If Lily is 12 inches, then the weight is fine. :)

No, she won't be gaining any length if she is 4 months now, but she will most likely fill "in" as she matures.

Hello Wendy,

12 inches is really small for a DYH no ? I know it's 12 inches cause she was playing with the measurement tape while i was trying to hold her.. What bother me is that she is fluctuating like 20 grams everyday... ( 380 in the morning and 400 at night)

The fluctuations aren't bad at all, especially if he's steady at those weights. :) He will always weigh less in the mornings, on an empty crop, so don't worry about that.

As for his size, hey, they are like people, they come in all shapes and sizes. As long as he's healthy and happy, then that's the only thing that's important. :)

You really need to weigh her in the AM before feeding to get accurate weight. I'm sure she could eat 20-30 grams of food /water and it's hard to compare.

She is always around 380 around 11:00am.
